So today my family and I went to the beach again, this time to Great Point. I love that beach because you get to drive your car right on the beach and there is a beautiful lighthouse. I had the best time at the beach. So many fun mini adventures!

The first thing I did was stalk a seal for about 15 minutes and take way too many pictures of it. I have about 30 pictures of this one seal! It reminds me of my dog. I wish I could have a seal as a pet.

The second adventure was the lighthouse. As I said, one of my favorite features of the Great Point is the lighthouse. However, my mother (the photographer) and I were surprised to find it open, so naturally, we explored it (and took amazing picture). It was so spooky inside. It's never open so it looked so old and abandoned. It was slightly romantic, in an erie way, and I wish I wore one of my vintage dresses there. Here's some pictures...

My mom and I were so enchanted by the lighthouse that we were oblivious to the ongoings outside. There was actually a major storm a brewing and people were being told to leave the beach.  We made it out fine and reunited with the rest of the family. While escaping the storm in the car my dad turned on movie music, which happened to be from Lord of the Rings. It was intense. Just like the sky.

P.S. I am very excited to announce that yesterday's outfit photo was admitted to the Chictopia style gallery. This is my first time and I am sooooooo excited. Hopefully there's more to come.

  1. These photos are really beautiful. And your post combines two of my very favorite things: lighthouses and seals! I probably would have stalked that seal just like you did; I've never seen one in the wild before. And I love the photos of the lighthouse against the stormy sky--very ominous and romantic. :)

  2. Love the top, very nautical! Hehe, I'd stalk that seal too. I do the same thing with random turtles at the pond near my house. I take wayyyy too many photos of them!
