I'll Just keep it to myself, in the sun... (that's burning my eyes and porcelain skin!)

EDIT: Upon re-reading this a day later I realized how much complaining I did. Prepare for pathetic whining...

Let me first say, It's HOTT! (With two t's, because it is SWELTERING!) I cannot stand 100 degree temperatures. I'm sun burnt, sweaty, my hair is frizzing,  it is not a pretty image. My white English skin cannot handle such intense sun and my clothing selection is narrow because it's too hot to even wear clothes (luckily I did find clothes and did not run around all day in the buff).

So these pictures are actually on the roof of the covered porch of my house. I thought it was going to be a great photo shoot, but of course, nothing ever works out as planned.  First of all my eleven year old sister wanted to take my picture. Ever since she took a digital photography class she thinks she's Annie Lebowitz. Unfortunately she is not. There were only a few descent pictures that she took, every other picture either had a thumb in it or I was making an ugly face (she wanted them to be candid).

Another factor that lead to the failure of the photo shoot was the scorching heat. No one wanted to go out on the roof to take pictures of me because the black roof was trapping the heat and amplifying the unbearability of the weather. To stay out of the humidity, my sister decided to take pictures through the window. I didn't think it would end up that bad, but she ended up getting the window in the shot or cut of my feet. I didn't want to try taking the photos again because of the heat so I decided to end up with what I ended up with.

I also hope everyone had a great Independence Day! Tomorrow I am going to write a mega post of photos I took on the 4th of July (hopefully more pictures than words).  My friend James is an amazing photographer so we had a photo shoot with his sister and my older sister. It turned out great. I wore an amazing red, white, and blue 60's skort that I am dying to show. After the photo shoot my family did a miniature fireworks show and played with sparklers. I have some cool photos I'm going to show you guys!

Stay tuned...

  1. Haha oh man, that sounds like the most troublesome photoshoot EVER! I think you ended up with some pretty cute shots, though, so it's not all for nothing. :)

Also, read your bio -- I play the cello too! I haven't actually played in a few years, but I used to play in the university symphony. I really miss it. Man this is so cool, a fellow nerd/cellist/fashionista! You're so cool.
